While safety, procedural improvements and technology make a contribution to this process, the key to success is the professional development of staff. The most cost-effective method of training staff is through the use of Technology Based Training (TBT).

MMCLD has accumulated significant experience in supporting the Natural Resources industry having developed Premium Technology Based Training in areas such as:

  • Organizational Induction
  • Change Management
  • Compliance (Occupational Health and Safety)
  • Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems (Implementation Training/Performance Support) focusing on areas such as Financial Systems

MMCLD Premium Technology Based Training – Representative Case Study

MMCLD developed a customized safety tools TBT package for a major supplier of Energy (Electricity) to (1.) assist in the facilitated training process and (2.) provide a performance support tool for refresher training.

Through the use of 2D animations, these tools safely demonstrated the effects of electricity, including how it travelled down power lines, how it travelled across a grid, and the various ways lightning became a safety hazard while working on or near lines.

The package demonstrated the various safety requirements for working on the power towers (transmission lines), including what to be cautious of, and under what circumstances you were safe and when you were not.

MMCLD designed and developed these tools by working closely with the organization and with one of its lead engineers (facilitated training officer). The client was seeking an organization that could provide the flexibility required to achieve their objectives.  MMCLD more than satisfied their requirements.
